Cynren is Old English for "kindred," and here at the Press, we take our name to heart. Cynren Press is a traditional publisher of history, culture, memoir with a historical relevance, and biography. We approach history as the human story, offering a guide to the past, insight into the present, and lessons for the future.

Cynren is currently accepting unsolicited manuscripts and book proposals from experienced and new authors alike.

We're looking for books with a unique or insightful perspective on the human story.

The best moments in reading are when you come across something – a thought, a feeling, a way of looking at things – which you had thought special and particular to you. Now here it is, set down by someone else, a person you have never met . . . and it is as if a hand has come out and taken yours.
